The Rarest Cut: Has Anyone Seen the (long-gone) R-rated Version?

A bizarre consequence of today’s world where almost anything is available on disc or streaming (except a couple hundred 70’s movies) is that the *cut* versions are now extremely rare.

Some examples:

A Clockwork Orange (1973 R-rated theatrical re-release)
The Street Fighter (1975 R-rated theatrical re-release)
Dawn of the Dead (1983 R-rated theatrical re-release)

Clockwork had replacement footage not found elsewhere. The other two were so severely cut (75+ cuts for SF, 50+ for DOTD) as to be real curiosities. The Dawn cut was withdrawn and likely destroyed after howls of protest from fans, and distributor UFD apologized for its existence and promised to never again release it.

But I’d still like to see it.

Whilst *not* the exact R-rated cut you're referring to.....there's a German Blu-Ray of DOTD (in ropey 3D, no less) that's horrendously edited for violence (if that interests you?)
