People didn't bleed in the late 70's

This here was a list of extraordinarily tidy deaths in this series of films.

Impaled by a lightning rod - no blood.
Fall from 10 stories, body splats but - no blood.
Beheaded by a sheet of glass - head flips, body falls - but no blood.
Squashed by a semi - no blood.
Cut in half by a cable - entrails flailing about but no blood.
Impaled by a train hitch - twitching legs, but no blood.

Seems a little dry to me.

impaled by a lightning rod - no blood. Doesn't always need blood to be realistic and to make a scene. The blood could have poured out from behind the priest.

Beheaded by a sheet of glass -- see above

Cut in half by a cable -- see above

Squashed by a semi -- There WAS blood.

Some of the old 70s movies had super red non realistic blood. I'd rather no blood that crazy looking blood.
