Questions and thoughts about damien and his mom

Just wondering, what everyone's take on the Jackal becoming pregnant with Damien.
I always assumed that the Jackal was walking around on earth, and then Satan's spirit entered the creature and that the Apostles of the devil ( spilleto and the people from the hospital ) found the creature and saved him, knowing it was the offspring of satan.
What are everyone else's thoughts?
Ive been looking online and there are several different therories ( to my own)
1> Satan came down to earth and physically inpregnanted a jackal. That that was witnessed by Spilletto and the rest of the Apostles and they kept the Jackal until it gave birth, killing the Jackal, due to the trauma and that Damien was born in the form of a baby boy. ( Highly plausible but reminds me of Rosemary's baby)
2> That the Jackal was infact just words meaning evil and it was infact an evil person-human who gave birth to Damien ( un likely as we see the form of the mother in the grave )
3> that the mother was a shape shifter and so was Damien, so he could transform himself from looking like a Jackal to looking like a human quite easily.
( AGAIN possible but if this was so, why didnt he exercise this during the movies)

Another quesion for you all...
In the 2nd movie you discover Damien has a mixture of Jackal cells. If this was so would he not actually have more dog like features..
hmmm...
worth thinking about.
Answers and suggestions please... Excuse any mistakes. I Do actually have dyslexia.

Think the idea was that the birth from the Jackal was a kind of Satanic ceremonial type thing.

The disciples capture the animal, restrain it from getting away. Satan does his business!

You see the skeleton of The Jackal in the grave in Cervete, I think was the name. Possible even the conception took place in the cemetery too.

On another note. Have you seen South Park, Woodland Critters Christmas. The satanic blood thing they carry out seems rather similar to how The Anti Christ may have been conceived.

HI STEPHEN AND THANK YOU FOR REPLY. JUST WONDERED WHAT EVERYONE THOUGHT REALLY. I DIDNT REALLY PUT MUCH THOUGHT IN TO IT UNTIL RECENTLY.

You must be really excited for the new series Damien on A&E.

I am obsessed with everything Omen.

The Damien board is lively and discusses tons of stuff connected with The Omen.

I didnt know anyhting about the series! I am from the UK so probably will find it difficult to get hold of. Do you have any info about it.

It's going to be airing sometime in 2016.

The teaser came out a while ago.

The most well know actor in it is Barbara Hershey. Bradley James is playing Damien.

The jackal has the reputation as an animal that 'feeds on the misfortunes of others'. It also was likely chosen as a mockery to the Virgin birth.

The above poster is right. The jackal was captured & raped by the Devil.
In the novel, Spiletto talks of hearing 'the jackal screaming'.

I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus.
Didn't he discover America?
