Mark Hamill at Star Wars Celebration VI

I missed his panel, darn it, but I was told that Hamill did discuss Corvette Summer a little. Supposedly, they showed a clip of the final chase scene from CS but mashed it up with John Williams' score for the trench run in Star Wars! That would've been hilarious!

I guess Hamill did not have anything bad to say about the film, but felt it was marketed wrong. I happen to really like CS on its own merits, and have seen it countless times. It's funny and Hamill & Potts are quite endearing together. Plus, it's a great movie about 70s era Las Vegas. But yes, I can see some Luke Skywalker parallels here & there....then again, Lucas was using a hero formula himself that has worked for centuries.
