Cop that pulls over the Duck... 70s CHP or not?

Kinda wondering...

I notice time and time again watching this that the movie is meant to be set in Arizona (as per the song) but the cop that pulls over the Duck for speeding, and the same cop that chases down McGraw, if you look carefully in a few frames, he has a CTS Twinsonic lightbar on the car he pulls over the Duck in. You can see the amber flasher at the rear in a few frames as he prepares to put the hammer down and pull over the Duck.

I got the frames here:

Note the first photo, you see the red steady burn PAR36 and in at least one other frame, then the other three are of the amber flasher behind, so either this is a 70s CHP car
70s non-CHP car with a CTS Twinsonic
70s car with generic Police decals and 70s CTS Twinsonic

Any idea if the cop's car was actually a CHP car or was it just one of a few random vehicles 'muscled up' and equipped with a CTS Twinsonic and electronic siren for use in the movie?

I wish I had been an extra in any of Natalie Gregory's work.

Although Needles, California is listed as one of the filming locations, the bulk of the movie was filmed in New Mexico, and IMDb doesn't say what scene(s) were shot in California. So for the moment I'm going to er on the side of caution and say it's just a regular police car "muscled up," as you put it.

I mean, really, how many times will you look under Jabba's manboobs?
