Crichton Cameo a la Hitchcock?

There is a shot in the movie where the camera pans across the hospital ward and passes a chrome paper towel holder. It is the scene right before Michael Douglas sees Tom Selleck on the respirator after his knee surgery. If you freeze the frame, the reflection of the man in the paper towel holder looks an awful lot like Michael Crichton. Do you think this was an intentional, if subliminal cameo?
