Peckinpah scene

...in which Bloody Sam plays 'Wilbur Olsen', a dime novelist trying to get Jenny Agutter to sell out her (not yet dead) husband with the dialogue:
'Women...age...wither. Money makes it...comfortable...'
With that honey-over-gravel voice of his, he sounds like the serpent trying to convince her to bite the apple. I always thought it was one of the best Peckinpah scenes he never directed...

'We all dream of being a child again - even the worst of us. Perhaps the worst most of all...'

Just watched it today---it WAS excellent ! Although his character again disappeared too quickly. And the most weird bit was in the opening credits: "Introducing SAM PECKINPAH". Come on, the man needs no introduction, not even as an actor.

I thought he was terrible - the whole film came to a stop while he mumbled his lines. It was as if an extra had suddenly been given a big lump of dialogue and no time to rehearse...
