Homage to Texas Chainsaw Massacre

The scene running up to the reveal of the killer's identity seems massively reminiscent of the famous hallway shot kill in Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

The "victim" is dragged through a doorway at the end of a hall, and the door is slammed shut. This is then immediately followed by the mask of the killer being pulled away in the same way Leatherface's mask is removed.

I did wonder if Massacre came after this film, but having checked the dates, it was clearly an "homage" by the director despite the utterly tame nature of this dull unfunny comedy horror.
