Does anyone own this DVD already ?; I'm anxious to know more about the aspect ratio and the quality of the transfer.
Is it in its original theatrical format 2,35:1 or (which I hope not) cut to 1,33:1 (as mentioned in the specs with Amazon. All the other selling addresses I found do not mention such (important) info.

two weeks later:
In the meantime I read elswhere that its an 1:33 (cut) version with the worst transfer ever on DVD, and could be taken from a worse VHS tape.
I will do with my original VHS. A great disappointment

Well i'm sorry to say it is the worst DVD I have ever had the misfortune to buy, a bad VHS would be better than the quality of this . The transfer which is the 1,33 TV transfer is an obvious VHS recorded copy that was never cared for copied badly to DVD, the tracking is out most of the time the colour is terrible, the sound quality is as bad as the picture I can honestly say that this is not worth buying!
and the worst thing is now that this film has been released on DVD I doubt it will ever be re-released.

I totally agree; just got it in the mail, and I have to say too, that I'm greatly disappointed.
My vhs is better quality.
The cover says "digitally remastered/ enhanced audio", the nerve of them.
Digitally remastered my foot; you could see the vcr tracking on screen!
I get better quality if I transfer my vhs to dvd.
I got it on ebay, and I wanted to leave the seller negative feedback because I thought he sold me a bootleg.
Now I see here, that's just the way the dvd is released.

I just received the DVD purchased on Ebay.. and everything herjabram says above, (Aug 20th, 2009) is true! Even to the detail, of being able to see the VCR tracking on screen for a moment!
I am extremely disappointed. ~
Have read elsewhere on IMDb that one can now find and watch the original screen ratio 2.35:1 version on Netflix ( it's now September 2016, and Australia finally has Netflix too! Good news for me).
DON'T buy the one from Ebay unless it is a newly released widescreen, High Def quality version. The one I have is terrible!
