We learnt that Simone, Laurent's mother abandoned him 20 years ago.
After seeing this film I'm not surprised! He is very boring, his bride looks and talks like a French version of a Stepford wife and his plan about his father and his gay lover, acting "straight" to fool his fiance's ultra-conservative parents, is insulting!
Some son, if I'd have been Renato I would have told him to **** off and never darken the doorstep of the birdcage again.
