Ok maybe I'm thinking of a different movie but I could have swore I thought they showed a scene with his wife Maria learning of the crash while listening to the radio. I'm not thinking of Labamba either I remember tnat scene with the mom out outside hanging laundry. I swear I rem a scene with Maria inside her home hearing it on the radio. Is there another buddy holly movie I'm thinking of ?

Gee, I honestly can't think of one, if you're sure you're not thinking of La Bamba (where his brother Bob hears it on the radio and Bob's wife runs outside of their trailer with their baby).

I thought I saw a scene like that, too. Just that she'd gotten a phone call or something like that. Either way, I thought they showed Maria alone in their home AFTER the crash. It wasn't La Bamba, either.
