needs to be remade.

this movie isn't really that accurate to the life of buddy holly. i have read many Buddy Holly books and watched a few documentary's on him. i want a movie just as good as Walk the Line. I am in film school now and hopefully one day i can remake this!

it would be nice if you or someone remade it, and you're right after seeing several documentaries, this movie isnt very accurate, i'm watching it on the REELZ channel right now

I hope you do. And when you do, remember to make the Madman Mancuso character DJ hall of famer Dick Biondi - also known as the wide-eyed I-tralian. "Walk The Line" is an excellent biopic, but it too took some liberties with the truth.

reply

Amen. And "some" liberties is a far cry from almost all liberties. When his family members are saying "forget all about that movie" and the band members say things like "they spelled Buddy's name right, but that was about all they got right," well...I'd say it's time to make a better movie. I've seen these quotes in a couple of his biographies and, I think, in a documentary about him. And I may even have heard Larry Holley himself say it person once.

If there is ever a remake of "The Buddy Holly Story" this little bit of musical history should be included.
Three days before the tragic plane crash the Winter Dance Party made a stop in Duluth, MN. One of the people at that concert was BOB DYLAN!

I love this film! Everything about it! Gary Busey's peerformance was amazing and the music of course was absolutely wonderful. I think I've seen this three or four times and I never tire of it.
