shareI'm not a Trekie. I'm a fan of both shows and no, Buck Rogers was in no way better than the original Star Trek. At best it had a few hotter girls. But nowhere near the quality of the original Trek. Buck Rogers was pure fluff, nothing more.

It's a different show. Buck Rogers is about adventure in space. Trek is about tackling social themes veiled in adventure.
Buck Rogers isn't deep commentary. It's just a good fun TV show.

I liked the original Star Trek better than Buck Rogers, but I like Buck Rogers better than Star Trek NG, but that isn't saying much, I would probably like being sprayed in the chest with projectile diarrhea than Star Trek NG. Lousy acting and too politically correct.
Buck Rogers was good 4 what it was. And rem', it was the late 70's, early 80's!
