shareMostly horror, but, as with mant 70s horror flicks, the lines between horror and porn are blurred dramatically. It is a very disturbing film. Horror is my genre of choice, so I enjoyed it. I DID get a good laugh when I wasn't squirming in my seat.
shareMany 70's horror flicks? Other than I spit on your grave what films are you talking about?
shareI found this board by accident. But I remember seeing this movie years ago (80's) and I could never remember the name. Go to these boards and bam there is it.
Know whats funny? My parents rented this movie for me many years ago (I was under probably 13). I decided to watch it when some relatives came over. Religious relatives. My dad got mad when he say all the naked ladies and make me turn it off. But I'm pretty sure he was embarassed. He had no idea that this movie would be so full of nudity and perverted scenes. I think that he just thought it was an older horror movie.
You should have seen him when I rented I Spit on your Grave. My dad and sister decide to watch it with me. That was pretty uncomfortable, about 15 years old watching a movie where the main character is naked and getting gang raped with my dad. Again, he had no idea what this movie was about. After watching for a little bit my dad asked me "What in the hell are we watching!". I was quite mortified.
Sounds like the old man was running a real tight ship there.
shareI wouldn't exactly call this a horror film--it's never scary, nor was it meant to be. Bloodsucking Freaks is more of a Grand Guignol horror-comedy, if anything. And it is certainly not porn. Porn is meant to be arousing, and the intention of this film is not to arouse but to horrify with all the over-the-top set pieces.
It's just easier to label Bloodsucking Freaks a bizarre comedy and leave it at that. :D

Neither!
shareNot pornography. Doesn't have a bit of sex, as I recall. Just a fair amount of nudity. And gore. It's comedy, really.
