Unfortunately, despite the excellent cast, it never seems to shift out of neutral.

It's a glossy, entertainingly trashy soap opera, nothing more. What were you expecting, Bertolucci's 1900?

"Bloodline" is indeed bloody awful — and bloody entertaining.

It's strange seeing all these quality actors in what is basically a glossy soap opera. Robert Duvall, Jane Alexander, Tommy Lee Jones, Edward Hermann and Laurence Olivier. What a line up!
