I may have gone overboard

Ok, this is really weird. I was only 4 when this movie was shown on TV, but I have been searching for it for the last 20 years. I used to have dreams about it, even though I didn't remember much of anything except for: the lady with the glowing eyes, the blond guy, the deep blue water, the underground cave, and the giant turtle.

Well here goes the wierd part - I just saw it today for the first time (bought it on Ebay). I realize that it must have struck something really deep in me. Here are some parallels to my life right now: I joined the Navy straight out of high school, I became a Navy Diver, I work a lot underwater, I married an African American women named Duschka (similar to "Erik's" wife in the movie). We divorced. I was recently stationed on a tropical island, surrounded by deep blue water, I met a beautiful brunette named Jenny who I fell in love with. I tought her to dive, and we spent a lot of time underwater together. Now we are married.

I always thought the song attached to this movie was Kenny Roger's "Lady". After I watched the movie, I realized it was a similar song called "Jenny" - the same name as the mysterious dark haired women of the sea.

I didn't really believe in subconcious influence - but maybe there is something to it. I am glad I found this website, because it is good to know I am not alone in my "insanity"!

P.s. I did see sea turtles while I was out on that island!

Wow. Yes, I think the movie did influence you. I have a lifelong fasination with sea turtle b/c of this movie. I go each season to witness the hatching of babies or the laying of eggson our local beachs and MUST live near the beach. My next tattoo will have a sea turtle w/ mine and DH's initials carved on its back. :)

How can you NOT believe in subconsicous influences?

That is solely what DOES manifest your life's path. I mean no offense.

You spend much of your life asleep, during which you are dreaming and rewiring your brain for the events to come. In terms of projected fractals, you may actually see the distant future or at least the most likely distant future from where you are at the time.

Your life is determined by the totality of all that is at a hidden level within the subconscious, as well as the great collective supraconscious. In fact, you can not even change the subconsious that easily, even by long term force of habit in how you are trying to "rethink" something.

thats so true.I totally believe viewing this movie at a young age is what made me attracted exclusevely to brunettes with long straight hair.
