Elevator scene

In the first of the series "Saga of a Star World" therer is a scene when Casiopia enters the elevator with a colonial warrior. They miss their floor and continue to the bottom where they are greeted by cylons. I can find no credit listing for the part of the colonial warrior but he looks and sounds like a very young Brad Garret of Everybody Loves Raymond. Just wondering. I errored on the scene, there are several others in the elevator, not Casiopia. It is at 1:34:33 on the dvd timer.

He had a pistol too, as did the warriors in the other elevator scene. Why didn't they use them on the Ovions?

Because that is the way the script writer wrote it.

I'm NOT meaning to give a stupid answer just to be giving a "stupid answer", but there are many things like that in shows -- "Why didn't they just....?" It would have drug out the plot. In Star Trek, how many times do they call on the intercom to say, "You better come down here/see this/whatever." Why not just say it since you called in the first place?

Speaking of Star Trek, a parody one time had Spock asking, "Captain, we can go this way and avoid the space disturbance, and thus have a nothing happen for the next 45 minutes, or we can go through the disturbance."
