I thought it was funny, but it's also not just some cheesy gag. It was a ragtag fleet after all, and why wouldn't people capable of space travel have such commercial ships?

But in the context of Battlestar Galactica it makes perfect sense they were all moving to Earth, except of course it got cancelled beforehand!!
