oh dear lol now this was boring :( could have been ace

Started out ok but you hardly get any water time its mostly set on land hardly any deaths the barracuda footage is good but you hardly get any build up or settings the characters are bland and you feel no attachment to them i had really high hopes for this the best thing about this is the trailer and the cover art ...... ah well i only paid 3 pounds for the original video tape :)

Your mom weighs 300 pounds.

You paid 3 pounds for this? Wow, you were well ripped off! Barracuda is total rubbish, there are no Barracuda attacks during the last 40 minutes when this thing turns into the most boring small town conspiracy thriller ever.

A total Turkey.

Yes, I too was quite disappointed in the bait and switch advertising this film had. I, for one, highly enjoy those 70s and 80s Jaws rip offs so imagine my reaction when there were few barracuda attacks in a film called Barracuda and in the third act, there were none. You can plainly see this film was a conspiracy thriller when they were making it but added the barracuda element so it could get distribution. In fact, the original title was The Lucifer Project so you can see that they half-assly put the barracuda sub plot in there.

As a killer fish film, it failed. As a conspiracy thriller, it pretty much failed as well. The directing was surprisingly competent and the last 20 minutes did grab my attention as about a good 40 minutes before I realized what this film was. Plus, I honestly didn't see the ending coming. 4/10, that's being really generous but I'm a sucker for 70s/80s B movies.
