Worst Film Ever ?

I saw this film with a group of young students who were in my class; even they were bored. What a corny film. I often tell people that the US team was 1 run behind until they sang, "Take me out to the ballgame" then miraculously the American team scored the winning run. Of course, that didn't really happen but the film was corny and predictable. Several of the kids I brought quit baseball not long after seeing this film. I often mention this film as 1 of the worse films ever but there really have been worse. I enjoyed seeing the Japanese scenery and seeing Tony Curtis again after a long absence was great.

It's a terrible film but, in my opinion, it's not even the worst Tony Curtis film of that year (1978!) That honor goes to the awful horror movie, THE MANITOU.

reply

"The Manitou"? Seriously? That's a "bad" film, but it's so excruciatingly entertaining I hardly think it's the worst.

reply

No, but it was pretty bad, even for me as a boy with very low standards for entertainment. It played like a cross between a soap opera and a documentary, which is pretty unforgivable if you're trying to make a comedy.

Science is the enemy of everything that's natural in life.

reply

Especially a comedy aimed at kids.
