I went to a private school with Chris Barnes for a year. Nice enough kid, but always had to deal with the stary-eyed there's a movie star stuff and then the let down when they realize he's human.
I agree, whatever great brains decided to bring back the movie without his role helped to earn themselves a spot in the bottom 100.

i saw this movie when it came out. confused child that i was, thinking it would be better than breaking training (it wasn't). the whole movie sucks from start to end. kelly leak is wimpier in this, no tanner, tony curtis trying to cash in on what was a cash cow from the first movie. CRAP, CRAP, CRAP! i sense that there was some sort of message trying to be pushed onto the crowd but crap is crap. i know that not many sequels can make it to the level of the original, but this set of sequels went from 8 stars, to 3 stars, to minus stars.
tanner boyle and the rest made the first movie a must have and a classic if you enjoy sports films, but this one, as beavis would say, "is a super suck movie!"

The only thing I remember from this is "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" sung in Japanese by the opposing team ...
That's the only part I found the least bit ammusing.
But other reasons this movie sucked.
1.Marvin came out've nowhere
2. None of the kids have anything to do in this movie, except for Kelly, but he is nothing like himself in this one.
3. There is really no plot whatsover
4. Do the names Tanner, Oglivy, Timmy, and Carmen ring a bell!?

That's not entirly true, they just (says it the way Buttermaker said it in the original when he says 11 year old girls don't go out with "People like that" ) don't fall in love with people like that!

I agree. they were both cute, but the original Kelly adds on his sexyness with his personality, and a personality is something the new Kelly lacked.

COMPLETELY!!!! I think Jackie Earle Haley(Kelly in the old version)is way hot, but my mom disagrees. I dont know, something happens when I look at him that makes me want to stare at him for hours. I think its the whole concept of the bad boy biker guy type thing, and i dont know wy my mom thinks the same thing, that he is very unatractive. Well all I know is that I think he is hott in my opinion and just wish I was his age in 1976.

shareHey ya'll listen up...the reason that a lot of the castmembers weren't in the 3rd movie is because they DECLINED to be in it because of the downward spiral direction that the series was heading. They knew it would be bad news for their careers..It went from a great original comedy feauturing Walter Mathau's tough-luck humor to Tony Curtis dry-humping a 7'0 stuffed Chichuaua in downtown Japan while the 'Bears' were busy mudwrestling with Sumo Wrestlers or some sh!t like that, i honestly don't remember too much about the 3rd except that it was god-awful...The original was CLASSIC though
shareTatum O'Neal didn't really have much control over her own career as a child or teenager. It was decided for her which movies she would act in.
shareI only bought it to finish off the collection. Yeah, this film is pretty bad. Tanner would have made it better. I never caught on until I was much older on how wrong the stuff he was saying really was.
Best way to some this movie up. It's like going to see your favorite band, and the onyl original left is the keyboardist.
