Book the film was based on

I've tried to find the book this film was based on.

The book is supposed to be The Violence and the Fury by Peter Kane, but other than being mentioned as the basis for this film, I cannot find the book anywhere on the web.

Peter Kane may well be a pseudonym and the book may actually be a short story, or have a different title, which is why I cannot find it in book form.

I would appreciate it if someone reading this who knows the answer could let me know.
