I have this move on VHS (I can't stand DVD's}. The movie was ok. I like Kathleen Beller in her other movie better, No Place to Hide.

I like it too...my favorite part at the end is when the girl says she asked her friend why the law protects the attacker and not the victim, and she said because the law's wrong. You can't get any more honest than that.

Why can't you stand DVD's? Thanks,

I don't know you, but I love you. I'm in the house alone, surrounded by thousands of VHS tapes if you'd care to stop by to use the phone ...

Hi,
I remember seeing this movie on tv when i was a little kid and loved it. I really enjoy those older made for tv horror flix. WHERE DID YOU GET IT ON DVD??? PLEASE let me know asap. I am a bored housewife who loves those movies. do you have any other recommendations?

reply

Are You In The House ALone? is a book, too. I recommend it, although it's rather descriptive.

Oh yeah, I totally prefer the book to the movie. I liked the book because Gail took more action in it, and her friend turned out not to be as big a bitch as she was in the movie. She really didn't get even but at least she made it clear she wasn't any easy target, when she picked up a rock and smashed his windshield and he tore out of there. They should've put something like that in the movie. I'm being a real hypocrite here but they ought to remake it and do it more like the book...well then I guess I'm not such a hypocrite, I don't hate remakes in general, but they louse them up beyond belief these days. And when the movie is based on a book, the first go around they don't always stick with the original idea, if a remake comes up, I want to see it done more like the book and I'm reckoning I'm not alone here.

I remember this movie in my late teens, I think the girl is attacked by one of the popular jocks in her school.

Nice little thriller. Kathleen Beller made for a real pretty and personable lead. Plus it was fun to see Dennis Quaid before he became more of a big star. I own this one on DVD from Shout! Factory on a double bill with The Initiation of Sarah starring Kay Lenz.
