A couple observations

(1) Leggy is supposed to have already been an old-ish guy when last heard from over 10 years before, but his "mum" looks about 35! (Well, I guess this isn't the sort of film where realism is a big consideration.)

(2) I'm highly familiar with the Rutles' (real) albums, but haven't seen this film much. Anyway, I never realized (until seeing this last night) that it was Rikki (Stig) singing "Between Us." I have a hard time telling him & Neil (Nasty) apart. I'm still not positive which one sings "Joe Public."

Another one: A few of the songs in the movie sound like slightly different versions (or at least mixes) than on the album. "Love Life" and one near the end sound like different mixes, while "Cheese & Onions" sounds like a whole different vocal take. Or am I imagining things?

I noticed that too, I had a tape of it from Comedy Central and watched it to death for ages before getting the CD and noticed right away that some of the mixes or takes used for the film are different than the CD and "Cheese & Onions" is probably the most different of all. I think I like the mix on the film better with the vocals pushed back a bit.

This of course could be deliberate because of the amount of times Stereo and Mono mixes of Beatles tracks differed.

Since I wrote the initial post, I've learned that Rikki sings "Joe Public."
