Dirk McQuickly has no pick

One thing that is beyond me, and also, why not anyone else have probably noticed, is that Dirk McQuickly plays his bass with his fingers...
Yes yes it's a minor fault, but Paul McCartney played his bass with a pick most of the time.

I wanna know if anyone else actually have noticed this!

It should go directly to the goofs-section!

Hadn't noticed it at all but then again Eric Idle is just miming it, he does not sing or play a note other than when he's at the piano with Bianca Jagger (Martine) composing "Dee Dee Dee Dee". You might get a chuckle out of knowing that Paul was the only one of the Beatles who didn't find this very funny, and it's pretty easy to figure out why. Dirk is a twit.

Eric did admit that he had NO idea whatsoever how to play a left-handed bass... that's why he just sort of bounces it up and down.

still it wouldnt have been too hard for him to hold a pick

George Lucas!

It offends the Beatles nerd in me that "Dirk" held his bass all wrong - on the hip, whereas McCartney usually had the bottom of the bass nearer his belly/crotch. Same with the occasional "wrong" guitars played by Innes/Nasty.

These little details matter.

I find it funny that for most of the songs he holds the neck halfway along, he should have held it around the third fret as he would've appeared to be playing more convincingly there.

No, those details don't matter. I never even noticed and wouldn't have cared. P.S. I just bought a Gretsch Tennessee Rose, like the Tennessean that George used.
I love it.
