Loved the Not Ready For Prime Time Players too!

This film was great! I also loved the appearances by the early SNL cast. I kept waiting for either Steve Martin or Chevvy Chase to show up but I guess they weren't with the Not Ready For Prime Time Players yet (that's what the first season's cast of SNL called themselves for everyone not as ancient as me and remembers such things :)

I didn't think I'd spot George (Harrison) as I suck at such things but I saw him alright, interviewing in front of Rutles Corp. Glad to hear that most of the Beatles (except HRH Sir Paul, Lord and Master Of All Creation) liked it too. Excellent film!

Chevy was one of the original Not Ready For Prime Time Players, he left after the first season. He was already off the show (SNL) by then I believe.

Steve Martin wasn't a player

(Years later) - I've had the vinyl since the 80s and the CD - but just saw the movie for the first time today ... Chevy IS in the movie - he's one of John Belushi's ... bodyguards (the tall one wearing shades and turtleneck0. :)

Isn't that Tom Davis?

Yes, it is Tom Davis. The other one is Senator Al Franken of Minnesota.

Thanks for the confirmation. Good thing I wasn't holding my breath waiting for it, though!
