15 Year Old Man of the Family

The 15 year old son of the widowed mother takes his place as head of the family and decides "We will stay together, I will work day and night if I have to." And turns down the priest's offer to put some of the children in an orphanage. I know guys in their 30's who haven't reached anywhere near that level of maturity. Sad.
