accurate and fairly entertaining

This movie was extremely accurate with the book. I would highly recommend watching this version to review the movie before a test after reading the book which is what my friends and I did. These are just some things I noticed that were quite funny :D

If you have seen this movie I was wondering if anyone else noticed the camera angles often used. It was funny most of the time when they used mirrors instead of placing the camera directly on the action going on. The reflection was used instead. The objects placed in front of the camera often induced a laugh as well. They were at times completely random and obscured part of the scene. The special effects were interesting and funny such as the rain which occurred often in the movie yet the actors never seemed to get wet; haha not to mention the bad quality of the fake rain itself.

Did anyone else notice these funny additions to the movie that made the otherwise rather long and somewhat boring movie more entertaining to make fun of?

Yeah, I noticed the use of mirrors, and the random looking at people's faces through things, such as flames and bottles.
SPOILER

The thing I found funniest was when Heathcliff was supposed to be dead at the end, and yet his eyes were twitching and he was clearly breathing. At least, if you're going to pretend someone's dead, don't have camera shots right in his face! It was hilarious that they were all looking at him saying he was dead, and I half expected him to sit up and go 'I'm not dead!'.

I guess they should have used some kind of sedative on him with the final shot? LOL.

I was there when that scene was shot. I was amazed it was allowed to go out.

The problem was it was 1978 and the crew would not work overtime and we had to rush to finish that episode so we could not re-shoot the scene.

That's very interesting, David. Was the miniseries shot out of sequence?

I'm very happy that this version of Wuthering Heights is available and didn't fall victim to the BBC's "wiping policy". Of all the versions I have seen, this one is the closest to the novel.
