The Jaguar XJ-S

This series initiated in me a lifelong love of the Jaguar XJ-S, I was impressed by it as an 8 year old when the series was first broadcast, and when I watch the DVD of the series now I find myself watching closely when the Jag is
on-screen to identify which one is being used.

Several cars have turned up over the years claiming to be one of the original vehicles used in the series, there were at least two used, but does anyone know of their current whereabouts?

The main car used was white (obviously!) with a tan interior, and was unusally fitted with both a manual gearbox and factory fitted sunroof, (apparently fitted to increase the amount of light into the car for filming purposes).

Mike Gambit (Gareth Hunt) also drove one of those 2 years earlier in THE NEW AVENGERS. It was particularly noticable in "The Midas Touch", when he's chasing an assassin, while Purdey is kibitzing non-stop in the passenger seat.
