red dwarf
I have never seen this show, but it sounds like something a Red Dwarf fan such as myself would enjoy. In fact, the plot sounds a bit similar. Any connection?

shareYou'll probably like the show, I've got this theory that comedy and sci-fi always work well together. Futurama, Galaxy Quest, etc
And I'm sure somebody could do a "six degrees" type thing, wait I'll try;
Quark was the Ferrengi on Deep Space 9, and the lady that played Dax on that show also played the "cat" in the American version of the Tv pilot of Red Dwarf. Ta Dah! Plus there's the whole Farscape's Chriton/Red Dwarf's Kryton thing...
Yes, the shows are similar, and I enjoy both of them.
I wasn't able to see Quark until after I'd watched all of Red Dwarf...and there are a lot of similarities. It would be wrong to call Red Dwarf a ripoff, but certainly there were similar themes and even some jokes that were awfully similar. I'd be surprised if Grant and Naylor weren't aware of Quark.
I also like how they re-used all of Star Trek's sound effects.
Quark is sort of like a combo of Blakes 7 and Red Dwarf...run through a prism and then taken out and inverted. Or something.
