Last scene of Love for Lydia

Does anyone know if the last scene of Love for Lydia was filmed in a real hospital or not? It was the New Year's Eve scene and both Richardson and Lydia walked out on to a veranda in the snow. Would love to know if it was a real place or a studio. When the credits started to roll they are seen walking across a field or grounds in the snow. Are the names of any of the extras who were in those last scenes as TB patients, available anywhere? Laidlaw dalling played one of the patients but some don't seem to be credited. There were some interesting faces and I'd like to know if they are listed anywhere. What happened to Paula Kent who played Ethel Holland? She appeared in the scenes of Lydia's 21st birthday, at home in the farmhouse and at Tom's funeral. She appeard in an episode of Within these walls called Remand Wing. On the IMDb site she seems to be mixed up with another Paula Kent from an earlier time in the US. Would love to know what happened to her.
