There should be a Hulk movie like the series

Marvel should make a Hulk movie where Bruce Banner is believed to be dead and he must let world believe that he is dead until he can control the raging spirit within him. It would be nice to have a more simple plot and not be about the Hulk fighting some intergalactic bad guy or being a "secret weapon" for the Avengers. A back to the basic Marvel movie would be great!

This series was definitely influenced by The Fugitive.

Hulk in the MCU is a joke. He is far far better in the 70’s show because he’s real. The TV show wasn’t perfect, but it’s my favorite.

We also care for David Banner and his plight.
Nobody cares for Briuce Banner and CGI emo-Hulk.

The basic premise of everyone thinking Banner is dead is kind of hard to be effective in the world of CTV cameras and smartphones, it feels dated and too much of a stretch of believability for people think Banner is dead and not know he was The Hulk.

TV Hulk was made in the ancient times where TV shows didn't have long arcs, characters changing half way through like someone you think is a bad guy but turns out to be good, everything had to stay the same throughout and every episode had to be stand alone.

yeh when they eventually do another Hulk movie it should be alot more like the TV show than the 2008 film was (which was sort of like an attempt to do big budget modern day take on the tv show abit like the way Star Trek 2009 was an attempt at doing a big version of the 60s show), so Ruffalo in check shirt/jeans/dusty boots hitchhiking around small town US encountering small domestic problems. Jack McGee on his trail, the white eyes, two hulk outs (ok maybe 3 as its a movie), smaller hulk/more Ferrigno looking (use his face as a template?), searching for cure (maybe using elements of 'The First' two parter - so Hulk vs another Hulk for more appeal? not Abomination size either), more horror based (like the 1977 tv pilot), hulk more of an urban legend/myth (no a flying superhero killing aliens), end with the Lonely Man tune. No supervillains, Army, Ross (well Hurts gone now anyway), MCU cameos/end credits stuff

Marvel will at last have its first flop!

Can't do the 70's TV show for a number of reasons, you have to have copyright from Kenneth Johnson, the basic premise of the show is outdated and is too much of a stretch of creditabilty for people to think Banner is dead, not know he was The Hulk and people not doing anything about The Hulk but a reporter.

It would really stupid to rehash the TV show, adding new to it, it would be like the TV show was Psycho and a rehash movie be the pointless shot for shot 1998 remake, where it looks like the original, it's trying to be the original but is a shameless rehashing so it can be an easy win with audiences.

I like the 1970s series and love the idea because it would be different from what Marvel does currently. Not every superhero movie has to be a big intergalactic conflict; it would be nice to see something small-scale and stand-alone.

Can't do the TV series for a number of reasons, it simply feels time worn and too much of stretch of creditability for people to think Banner is dead and not do anything about the Hulk but a reporter, if you think about it how many times will the Hulk smash up shit in public until people start pointing fingers and how many who know Banner from long ago or from a photo from a science journal would notice him in some episodes that happened, a renowned scientist whose suppose to be dead is alive and well what's all that about.
