Welcome to an all new series here on JoBlo called Gone But Not Forgotten which explores old television shows. You might think these series, once they were taken off the air, disappeared into obscurity never to be heard of again but we've dug up these relics of the past to bask in their sweet nostalgia.

Our third episode covers one of the first shows to tackle superheroes in a way that was watchable and treated the material at least semi-seriously. Of course, we're talking about "The Incredible Hulk" starring the late Bill Bixby as Dr. "David" Bruce Banner, and Lou Ferrigno as the hulk! This look back at "The Incredible Hulk" is written/edited by David Arroyo and Narrated by Awfully Good Movies' Jesse Shade. Were you a fan of The Incredible Hulk? One of my favorite shows growing up.Bill Bixby was a Better Banner than Norton ,Bana and Ruffalo.

Bixby was great.

I just wonder how no one who hired Banner ever checked his work history and references.

Even into the early 80s, it was still somewhat possible to pick up a job without too much background checking, especially the sort of below-the-radar work Banner found. Somewhat, anyway. And there's also the willing suspension of disbelief, in order to tell an enjoyable story. :)

Agree that Bixby was wonderful. He brought a genuine tragic humanity to Banner that the movies have lacked. And Lou Ferrigno was able to convey it as the Hulk, too. To me, he'll always be a better & more convincing Hulk than any CGI creation.
