underwater scene

So many good scenes, so many miyazaki's touches here!...

I liked, for example, that scene at episode 8, when Conan and Lana escape in the boat, which is bombed and sinks... they recover at the bottom of the sea and try to swim to the surface, but conan finds himself tied to the boat... a very strong and accomplished scene... nice touch that of Lana going to the surface to get air and blew it in Conan's mouth...

I wonder if this miniplot -very dramatic and cinematographic- is original from miyazaki, perhaps someone can recall another film (or book or comic) where it was used.
