I grew up watching this show. It is was very entertaining, thought provocing and touching. When it first aired in the middle east it was a huge success. But it wasn't as successfull as Grendizer (that show was huge).
I'm envious that the Arabic audiences get to see Future Boy Conan on TV, while very few of us Yanks have seen it.

It was on portuguese tv too, back in the day. When the internet came about, I couldn´t wait to see it again, little did I know I was watching the work of master Myazaki :) This, along with gems like Il Etait Une Fois...L´Espace, and Les Mysterieuses cités D´or, shaped my childhood! Amazing anime series, infact I just finished rewatching it not 30 minutes ago, love it so much. I love everything about it, from it´s strong message about abuse of technology, moral lessons, the importance of a life connected to nature... Such a perfect show for children. I will deffinitely show this to my children when I have them!
