The chair in the lobby that Starr sits in
Does anyone know what type chair that is. I would love to locate one and have it in my home.

shareI love that chair too. I found a chair similar in style (I'll put link below) and it was referred to as a Victorian Balloon Chair. But "balloon chair" seems to refer to a number of chairs with rounded back, so not sure if this was just a particular type of balloon chair or if it has been mislabeled where I found it. At any rate, this looks like it so it's a good start. :) This model isn't exactly like Starr's but seems to be the same type.

Thanks soooo much, chileboo! That is a perfect start.
shareThere is a company in the States called Restoration Hardware. They carry what they call a "Versailles Chair" as, apparently, the French Palace at Versailles had at least one chair. Here is a link to it:

Restoration Hardware is a VERY good company. I have bought a great many items from them and have NEVER been disappointed.
Best of luck!

I remembered the chair.
And I tried to look up the style.
Then it hit me the shape of the top got me thinking.
I searched for a hooded chair.
And up popped several versions of it.
In leather.velvet,and other fabrics.
It was very useful in old drafty homes.
You would sit in front of a fire nice and cozy.
There was a rattan backed on for warmer places.
Yeah, that style of chair was perfect for its placement on the set: in the lobby in front of the door. One would be protected from the drafts created when the door opened.
