It's Been Long Enough, Time To Bring The Original Dallas Back On TV.

Seriously, what's been, at least 10 years since Dallas has been on TV regularly? I think it's probably been at least 5 years since CMT aired a Dallas mini marathon. If the POP network can air Dynasty, why not Dallas?

reply

What they need is a knots landing dvd

reply

I believe Knots Landing is on DVD.

reply

Only the first two seasons have been released and it doesn't seem as if they'll be releasing the remainder any time soon

reply

I have never been able to find KL ON dvd.

Or one of the digital subnets, like ME-TV, Antenna TV, THIS TV, etc.

reply

Yes Me-TV or Antenna.

I would think they'd love to put it on TV.

Pop TV is also an option. They recently reran the entire run of Dynasty (including the follow-up miniseries) and they aired other primetime soaps (Beverly Hills, 90210; Melrose Place; Dawson's Creek; The O.C.)

We don't have cable. Does Soapnet still exist? Didn't they use to air Dallas? Ideally I'd love to see this on Netflix.

No, SOAPnet was discontinued and Disney/ABC turned it into Disney Junior (for pre-school kids).

reply

Really! I thought they just added Disney Jr. I had no idea that it used to be SOAPnet. I haven't had extended cable in years and switched to an antenna 3 months ago. I'd been wondering over the last few years what exactly SOAPnet has been airing now that there are very few soap operas left on TV.

Yup, Disney Jr. used to be SOAPnet. The "new" SOAPnet, so to speak, is Pop TV (formerly TV Guide Channel). Similar to the old SOAPnet, Pop TV airs same day repeats of The Young and the Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful, and Days of Our Lives and also reruns of popular prime time soaps (Dynasty, Melrose Place, Beverly Hills, 90210, Dawson's Creek, The O.C.)
