Why was Ewing 23 and sharing it with Cliff so important to Bobby? Why were Jock and Digger partners in this field if they split up after Ewing 6?

Because after Digger died, Cliff found the deed to Ewing 23 in Digger's papers. Bobby wanted to do right by Digger, who was his wife's father (not biological thought, as Digger admitted on his deathbed he wasn't, but always loved Pam like his own). I don't know if it was ever explained how Jock-Digger partnered up again after the dust up after Ewing 6. Maybe Jock was having a dry spell and called Digger on a whim as the Digger had the "nose" for finding oil and Jock promised to split Ewing 23 with him. share
