Can anyone give me the right order of the Superfriends cartoon I know tha the one that had Wendy and Marvin was the very first one and the one that had Firestorm by himself was the second to last series and then Cyborg was the last series. But as of Liegion of Doom series, World Grestest Superfriend,The all New superfriends hour not sure were they fall. I want to put my DVD's in the year they were show. I had took out both of the Liegion Of Doom and the Superfriends DVD and I saw that Liegion of Doom had the year 1978 on it and the Superfriend with the Wonder Twins said 1977. So how did the others go like

All you have to do is type super friends into IMDb Search and click "go". The titles you're wondering about come up amongst other titles, and you can infer that "The All-New Super Friends Hour" (1977) came 2nd, "Challenge of the SuperFriends" (1978) came 3rd, and "The World's Greatest SuperFriends" (1979) came 4th. There were a total of 6 Super Friends series; you're correct about which was next to last and which was last.

I see that now when you do the search I mentioned, one of the titles you get is "SuperFriends Hour" (1980), a title I didn't know of until very recently. This would seem to mean that there were actually 7 Super Friends series. But the last two series - '84 and '85 - are still sublabeled as "aka 'SuperFriends V'..." and "aka 'SuperFriends VI'...".

The two 1978 series aired together. I am assuming that they may well have aired together under the name "Challenge of the SuperFriends." I am almost positive that the end credits were shared - notice that all episodes of Challenge list Louise Williams in the cast, even though it is only the other 16 non-Legion-of-Doom episodes which have Jayna...

I am the author of Will's Ultimate SuperFriends Episode Guide and I can tell you exactly which order these series aired.

As far as I'm concerned, Superman, Batman, Robin, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman are the original five. They are THE SuperFriends while everyone else were either students, guests, or add ons.

SUPER FRIENDS: 1973: The original hour long episode series with Wendy, Marvin, and Wonder Dog. This show had the only appearances of Green Arrow and
Plastic Man and the first appearance of the Flash. This series ran in 1973, was aired in reruns in 1974, taken off the air in 1975 and then in part of the 1976-1977 season, they came back, but ran for 30 minutes with the episodes divided up into 2 parters.

THE ALL NEW SUPER FRIENDS HOUR: 1977: This hour long series with one half hour story and three short stories. The Wonder Twins, Zan and Jayna and their monkey, Gleek made their debut as the new trainee heroes. The 30 minute episodes had them working with the original five and they were the core group and this was the first of the three core group seasons. The first short had 2 of the main heroes dealing with a misguided scientist or occasional costumed villain. The second short had the Wonder Twins dealing with kids and teenagers and using their powers to save their lives and teach them right from wrong. Similar to the Shazam TV series, and the last segment had one of the main heroes with a guest star in episodes that were primarily rescue missions. These episodes had the second appearance of the Flash, the debuts of the Atom, Green Lantern, Hawkman and Hawkgirl, and Rima the Jungle Girl and marked the animated debuts of the token heroes, Black Vulcan, Samaraui, and Apache Chief. This is the series best known for the segments that were health and safety tips, crafts and magic tricks, and the secret decoders involving the half hour story.

CHALLENGE OF THE SUPER FRIENDS: 1978: (AND SUPER FRIENDS 1978): Challenge of the SuperFriends is the series with the SuperFriends in a more JLA style battling 13 Super Villains called the Legion of Doom. This is the series where the original five are joined by Green Lantern, the Flash, Hawkman, Black Vulcan, Samarui, and Apache Chief on a regular basis and susprisingly, Hawkgirl and the Atom were omitted. The Legion of Doom marked the animated debuts of
Lex Luthor, Brainiac, Toyman, Solomon Grundy, Bizarro, Sinestro, Captain Cold, Gorilla Grodd, Giganta, The Cheetah, Black Manta, The Scarecrow, and the Riddler. This is considered to be the all time favorite of the SuperFriends series. The Wonder Twins were not in this series, but they were saved for 16 new episodes with the orignial five that actually aired first in the hour before the Challenge episodes and served as a warm up act with the Challenge series being the headliner. These episodes are on a DVD set called the Complete Second Season. This series is the second season with Zan and Jayna as part of the core group. This series brought us the likes of Count Dracula, three villains from the Phantom Zone and the first appearance of the Supermobile and the animated debut of Mr. Mxyztplk.

THE WORLD'S GREATEST SUPER FRIENDS: 1979: The most easily accessible series on TV, but not yet on DVD. This is the third season of the core group. The original five and the Wonder Twins. Most of the episodes took their cues from Great Literature in terms of stories like Aladdin, King Arthur and Camelot, The Hobbit, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Franksenstein, and the Wizard of Oz. We saw the Kandorians from their bottle city, the first appearance of the Fortress of Solitude and we saw the return of Lex Luthor and Mr. Mxyztplk. There only 8 half hour episodes, but they were combined with reruns from the All New SuperFriends Hour to make this an hour show on Saturday mornings. This season had a few new health and safety tips, and craft segments.

SUPER FRIENDS HOUR: 1980: The first season of the shorts. This was an hour long show with reruns first and then, three new short episodes. The team ups usually had Superman, Batman and Robin, and Wonder Woman together or teamed up with Aquaman, Blac Vulcan, Samaraui, Apache Chief, the Atom, Hawkman and Hawkgirl, Green Lantern, and the Flash. Rima showed up one more time in the episode, "Return of Atlantis." The Wonder Twins showed up in the middle episode and while they were the focused stars, they would team up with or get assistance from Superman, Batman and Robin, or Wonder Woman, or a combination of the four. This would also apply to their episodes in 1981. We saw the return of Mr. Mxyztplk, Bizarro, and the Riddler in this season. There were new health and safety tips by the token heroes and the Wonder Twins.

SUPER FRIENDS: 1981: This season, the second season of the shorts was a more shorter season than the other since there was an animator's strike that year. The team up formats were the same as last time, but the biggest factor was the introduction of El Dorado as the newest SuperFriends. But he only turned up in 2 episode, Alien Mummy and Palette's Perils. This was the first SuperFriends series to run as a 30 minute show as opposed to the previous hour formats. The series that followed would all be half hour series as well. In this season, we saw the return of Mr. Mxyztplk and Bizarro and we were introduced to a Phantom Zone villain named Zycree whose look makes him based off of General Zod from the Superman movies.

SUPER FRIENDS: THE LOST EPISODES: 1983: Some say these were made in the 1982 season, but the episodes are dated 1983 on the Superman/Batman Adventures syndication package, so it's undetermined exactly which year they were supposed to air, though I personally vote for 1983. These episodes are coming to DVD tomorrow and we'll finally get to see them uncut. The Legion of Doom reassembled in "Revenge of Doom" and we even got to see Gorilla Grodd and Giganta together in one episode and the original Brainiac in one. We finally got to see the Wonder Twins team up with the other Justice Leaguers like the Atom in Roller Coaster, Green Lantern in "Two Gleeks Are Deadlier Than One" with Grodd and Giganta. They teamed up with Hawkman and Hawkgirl in "An Unexpected Treasure" and the Flash in "Space Racers." And they had a team up episode with Aquaman in " A Pint of Life." We would see not one, but two World's Finest team ups featuring Superman and Batman with no other heroes. Mxyztplk's Revenge and Warpland.

SUPER FRIENDS: THE LEGENDARY SUPER POWERS SHOW: 1984: The series begins more mature stories and characterization with the introduction of Firestorm, as well as Jack Kirby's Fourth World characters, Darkseid, Kalibak, and Desaad. Lex Luthor sports a new power suit in "No Honor Among Thieves." and Brainiac is completely renovated in style with the current comics and the action figure made by Kenner. Aquaman only appears on the intro, but he and the Flash are omitted from the series. Green Lantern makes a brief cameo in "Case of the Shrinking SuperFriends". On the downside. Wonder Woman has a new voice over and Shannon Farnon was sorely missed. Best of all, Batman is now voiced over by Adam West. There were now two episodes a week with the exceptions of the Bride of Darkseid and Darkseid's Golden Trap, which were treated as 2 parters making them half hour episodes.

SUPER POWERS TEAM: GALACTIC GUARDIANS: 1985: The final and graduation series of the SuperFriends with new character designs, stories, and characterizations. Cyborg is introduced as the newest member and he and Firestorm are in most of these episodes along with Superman, Batman, Robin, and Wonder Woman. While Darkseid, Lex Luthor, Brainiac, and Mr. Mxyztplk return, so does the Scarecrow and a friendlier version of Bizarro whose now Bizarro Number 1. And we finally see the Joker, Penguin, and Felix Faust and we finally see Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson as well as Alfred and Commissioner Gordon. Aquaman, Green Lantern, Hawkman, the Flash, and Samaraui are members, but they are minor characters in this series. The 2 best stories consist of "The Fear" the first media telling of Batman's origin and "The Death of Superman."

That's it in a nutshell.

Hope this helps.

We did see Alfred or rather Bizarro Alfred in the first episode of Challenge of the Superfriends and Commissioner Gordon in Superfriends: Rest In Peace.
