Is there any plans to reissue the series on DVD?

I recently saw one of those teaser trailers for the CGI Gatchaman movie and I got nostaligic for the BOTP. Is there any plans to rerelease it? I would think a company like Shout Factory (which did Transformers after Rhino) would be a good choice.

Hi all!

Since Sandy Frank, the company that produced "Battle of the Planets," no longer has the rights for "Gatchaman," the series from which "Battle of the Planets" was created, there are no plans to reissue "Battle of the Planets" on DVD. Without the rights to the source material, they cannot legally release "Battle of the Planets."
