I loved this movie

Jeez, that was a pretty harsh review somebody gave it.
I found this by accident one day on cable and really enjoyed it. Sounds like maybe Mel Brooks is slamming GW on the imdb boards. lol

Maybe it would have been better if it were a Brooks/Wilder combo, but this movie on it's own is still pretty good.
I'd love to see it again when it makes it to DVD if that ever happens.

Well now its on DVD, and I saw this on AMC not too long ago and loved it, it certainly is one of Gene Wilder's classic films, I can't believe its rated so poorly on here, I would at least give it a 6 or 7.

I just got to see this last night for the first time last night, and I thought it was fantastic! Not his best movie, but the movie has Gene Wilder at his finest. The sex-by-the-numbers scene is a classic, for sure!

Ooo, baby, your domestic gross is SO BIG. That's how I know how GOOD you are!

I love the sex-by-numbers scene! Certainly Gene has done better than this, but it's an extremely entertaining film and a throwback to classic Hollywood. Gene was certainly inspired by Mel Brooks, but he also had his own warped vision. They don't make nutty films like this anymore, and they gave up trying years ago.

it is brilliant. the intro of Dom, with sublime timing and buildup.... It is a pearl, and a style we dont get too often.

I used to watch this film on VHS as a kid. Only remembered it cause I saw Carol Kane in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, so had to watch it again. The timing and jokes have aged better than most films from that era, I was surprised how much I'm still laughing at it today. I don't get why the IMDB score is so low.
