No memorable quotes?

I can't believe there aren't any memorable quotes up for Wizards yet. I know some to use, but I want to make sure they're accurate, and I don't own a copy. If anyone can post the following quotes as they should be posted, please do:

a) "Fritz! Fritz! They killed Fritz! ..." and its following passage
b) "I'm sure glad you changed your name...." in its exact form

I loved this movie when it came out. Me and my friends went to many a midnight showing. I wish they had done a sequel.

Here's a few more quotes.

I failed you my wizard. I failed you my president.

It's no good. Gimme plan B.
Hey, what's plan B.
Watch.
BOOOMM.

Some die that deserve life. Can you give it to them, Frodo?_

Go to badmovies.org for a list of quotes and sound files.
BLACKWOLF:"The trouble with you, my brother, is that you've always been too good."
AVATAR:"Well, that may be. But I still think I look more like Ma than you do."
It also has the video clip of The Fritz scene. HILARIOUS!!! I haven't even seen the whole movie and already I love it!!! I've only seen Bakshi's LOTR. It was. . . ok.

reply

Bakshi's LotR was mediocre until I saw this. Afterward, I saw it knowing how I should watch Bakshi films. Watch them as art, not life-changing film experiences or anything serious. The styles of animation are really something different.

BLACKWOLF: "Brother there is no need for me to destroy you. Surrender! Surrender your world!"
AVATAR: (applauding) "You always did need an audience, you sap!"

Rather than being a big fight, it's a rather humorous confrontation and then a very quick conlusion to it all.

"Watching TV shows don't create psycho killers. Cancelling TV shows creates psycho killers!"

Man, the only quote I remember from this movie is when Weehawk says to Elinore, "YOU SLUT!!" That made me laugh. But the rest of it was complete crack. You have to be on drugs to like Wizards.

"But I am always dreaming, even when I'm awake. It is never finished."

Just not true. This Film is not just for stoners, in fact It could be very scary stoned.

I don't have a memorable quote per se...

What I remember most was Susan Tyrrell's narration. There was
just something about her voice. Soothing, erotic, like a muse or
nereid. It really stayed with me more than the movie itself did.

I wish she did books on disc. That would be something.

reply

I think a better way of putting it would be "you have to be stoned to understand Wizards"...

...but I just bought this movie today and haven't seen it yet, so I might have a different opinion later, lol.

the text from teh book that Susan Tyrell reads at the begginning is a pretty memorable quote.

that, or the words Weehawk says to his horse right before he and his elf companion ride into Neccron 99. (sorry, I can;t remeber the wrods)

Larry (that Lizard thing who was Blackwolf's harmless lackey) did have one great line:
(Too Blackwolf)"The lights are out! The lights are out! Neccron 99 has destroyed himself!"

Blackwolf said this great line:
"With the assasination of the presidents of the Free States comes their fall...and that of my brother"

personally, I saw this movie as a kid (not when it was first resleased or anything, I ain't that old..) and... well, I thought it looked kinda like He-Man, judging from the cover of the VHS. And it was in the kids section of the video store. And it was PG.

All fairly innocent. And then the first we see of Avatar, this funny old wizard... he comes out, looks through his telescope and shouts "DAMN IT!" lol.

Being the first time I'd ever been exposed to that sort of thing in cartoon form, that's one of the most memorable quotes from the movie for me.

(and yes, the following half hour or so scared me so bad that I had to turn the tape off and didn't watch it again till I was 16)
