They really should have gone for the earlier Elinore designs.


For anyone who's seen the bonus feature on the DVD where they show the earlier artwork of Elinore, they really should have gone with one of those designs instead.

Absolutely not. Elinore was the best-designed character in the film. It's been argued that she was a "Bode broad", but she certainly had a life all her own.

What is interesting, though, if you look at the early Elinore prototypes, was that one of them bore an overwhelming resemblance to Princess Leia from Star Wars. The fact that Bakshi and Lucas were in contact with each other during the making of both films, makes it highly intriguing.

I agree, the film Elinore is fabulous.

To add to your other comment, several "Wizards" characters are similar to those of Vaughn Bode. In particular, compare Necron 99/Peace to Cobalt 60.

I agree, early Elinore looked MUCH better.

And they could have easily ditched the buns to disassociate her with Princess Leia, if that were to be a problem.
