Anybody else fall asleep during this movie?

Honestly, I'm not sure I've ever seen this movie completely, consistently from beginning to end. I keep dozing off.

I rented it not long ago thinking "Ok, this time I'm going to see the whole thing!", and it happened again! I fell asleep!

And you know where it keeps happening? During the Battle! That's really sad when the Climax of the picture puts you to sleep! I think I woke up around the time Avatar shot and killed Blackwolf. That one gunshot does it, but not the constant drone of the machine guns and the planes. So I've seen the very end, I just miss a lot during the "Climactic Battle".

I've tried to get into Bakshi Films, but I just can't do it. I know he's considered "great" and a "genius animator", but Wizards seems to me like a lot of his other stuff (Lord of the Rings, American Pop, and Cool World to name some): It's long, boring, self-indulgent and that rotoscoping just makes it look cheap. I know we're talking about the 70's and there wasn't a lot of quality adult animation in the 70's, but this just didn't do it for me.

So is it worth just stocking up on Caffeine the next time I want to watch this film (or any other Bakshi Film), or should I just give it up?

I didn't fall asleep, but that's probably 'cause I just skipped through the boring and cheap looking rotoscoped scenes. It doesn't help that the narrator's voice sounds like she's half asleep though all the while talking over still images.
