An interesting, inspiring film

I saw this film in the '70s, when it came out. I agree it hasn't aged well, but I think it shouldn't be cast aside just as a "women's lib" film. It's more, I think, like "Beaches", discussing what is mostimportant to woman - friends, children, love, survival.

I think the film has aged well. Its issues are relevant today both for countries where abortion is illegal and women are oppressed as well as those countries with legal abortion and active anti-abortionists.

A wonderful film that reflects upon femininity and womanhood within the broad context of life; personal and political, as a single woman, a wife, a divorcee, as a grown woman and a young adult, as a mother and as not. Even the music appealed to me, which I didn't expect.

A bird sings and the mountain's silence deepens.

70s movies suck, except for Clint Eastwood. Lots of people were smoking lots of doobies back then, filtering their experiences through a Purple Haze.

I mean, geez: look at the username of the poster above.
