did Bancroft and MacLaine get on

They are two such powerhouse performers and MacLaine isn't known for being the easiest to work with (look at her terrible relationship with Debra Winger in "Terms Of Endearment") - I wonder if they both got on.

I think the problem in that situation was Debra Winger. She definitely has a history of being difficult to get along with and after all during Terms of Endearment, Debra had a serious cocaine problem.

Debra never liked ANYONE she worked with. She's even bad mouthed Lynda Carter who said she never had a problem with Debra and was shocked to hear Debra talking s**t about her. On Larry King Lynda said she thought they worked together ok until she heard Debra say Lynda was a pain. Debra is just psycho. Shirley and Anne got along great from what I've heard.

The MacLaine/Winger feud has been done to death over the last 25 years, for Winger's issuses,(whatever they were),largely distroyed her career.

The only negative element that's outed regarding Bancroft and MacLaine was done so by MacLaine. Emma throwing Champange in DeeDee face was a secret devised by Ross and Bancroft and MacLaine was not clued in that it was going to happen. Decades after the fact, MacLaine still has some issuse with the decision, for she felt it was an insult which took away her chance to act her reaction rather than being shocked.
