Rev. Ron reviews 'Tintorera: Killer Shark'

To put it simply, this film is just garbage. The story is a wandering mess that doesn't know where it's going, the shark is barely in the running length that is far too long, the acting is awful and the editing is sloppy. However, I think there might be some brilliant subtext in the form of an underlining homoerotic love story between the two male leads. While, I guess, it's probably unintentional, the film feels like it's about these two guys desiring to be together (seen through their body language, intense and lust-filled stares at each other and the desire for revenge and the following unbridled rage that occurs when the shark claims the life of one of them) and the two men just are hiding their feelings by trying to nail other women and even enter into a relationship where they are dating a single girl (it’s their own self-imposed barrier for their feelings for each other). If this was actually a reality for the film and not just an accident, the film would actually be kinda ground-breaking and brilliant but, in reality, it’s just a terrible, poorly made “Jaws” rip-off.
