The little baby at the beginning!

That is the reason I cannot make it past that opening. It always upset me when the octopus killed the baby.

At least they leave it to your imagination. Not like what happened in the original ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13.

Just skip over it. I actually think TENTICLES is quite underrated, but still not great, but better than most others.

Not much of a movie all in all, but that scene is brilliant.

Ugh, you sound like my mom...she can't watch anything "unhappy" like that, regardless of the fact that it's a fictional movie. LOLZ. Are you being serious, you literally have never seen the rest of the movie just because of what happens in the first 5 minutes of it? I cannot fathom it. You must have a hard time watching nature shows where they show predators killing things. Besides, there's no actual case of an octopus ever having killed & eaten a baby, so grab a tissue, wipe your eyes, and stop being afraid to get into your bathtub.

The opening scene w/the baby is the only effective scene in the entire movie. It goes quickly downhill from there.

When I was a kid, that scene always disturbed the *beep* out of me.

I dont know what is is about the Italians and killing children. This scene, the Grim Reaper baby eating scene, and then the part with throwing the baby over the bridge in Mother of Tears. They are seriously messed up in the head.

Maybe its to shock us into ignoring the fact that they make s__t movies.

Ironically, that one scene is the only scene in the entire movie anybody would be likely to remember. It's a very, very dull film. Be glad you never sat through it.

The opening scene is pretty good. The other scene that always sticks in my mind and scared me as a kid, was when the diver turns around in the submersible and sees the very life-like octopus eye staring at him through the window. Man just the look in it's eye was evil!!
