Did You Spot the 'Planet of the Apes' Connection?

Great Shifrin soundtrack, however I couldn't help noticing that a musical motif used just before the car blows up in the underground carpark is exactly the same as the main "Planet of the Apes" TV show theme tune which Shifrin composed a few years earlier!

I didn't pick that one up, but noticed he did something similar with another soundtrack...alas I can't recall it at this time, MAYBE it was Rush Hour and Enter the Dragon...or Rush Hour mixed with a Horace Silver song. I think he likes to have fun that way.

Anyway, thanks for the head's up, next time I watch Telefon I'll listen closely.
