For years and years and years, I have searched high and low for what I believe to be this film. I even posted this in the IMDb boards ages ago, when IMDb first got started.
One question though to be sure this is the one. Was there a flash of a front cover of Time Magazine with a slit wrist on it? If so, this is definitely THE ONE.
Any help would be appreciated.
Yeah, the cover of Time Magazine is shown with an illustration of a slit wrist and the banner "Suicide - Epidemic" on the front. It's right after the ufo researcher's wife has bandaged her bleeding finger and before she gives in to the suggestion and tries to kill herself. Her kid is watching T.V. news report witnesses describe public suicides in the next room, but eventually wanders through to the kitchen and finds her mother bleeding all over the floor.

If you are persistent you will find Starship Invasions on ebay on dvd. It will be a transfer from VHS but I am happy with my copy.

My brothers and sister and I saw the movie in the theaters, and it was way too disturbing for me (age 7 at the time) and my slightly older siblings. We've talked about it for years, not knowing the name, and now that I know this is the movie (found out a couple of years ago), not been able to find it.
